You know what happens when we ASSUME? Read the word. Does speaking in tongues change our day to day communication? Check this out!
Life Inside the Edges
Jesus famously taught us that we are to love our neighbor as ourselves. As simple as this sounds, it feels almost impossible these days to love ourselves well—let alone love our neighbor as ourselves. We feel maxed out on every conceivable level: maxed out financially, maxed out with our calendars, even maxed out mentally, emotionally, and physically.
What if God is calling us to a life of margin? What if God is inviting us into a life where we can have space—where we can rest, where we don’t have to reap our fields all the way to the edges? A life where we actually have room for others to step into our lives and receive something from us?
It may seem impossible, especially if you’re one of those people who can’t imagine having any more money or time. But real margin—real rest—begins internally, not externally. What God is calling us to is an internal healing that can give us the kind of space Jesus had when He was able to sleep in a boat, even though the storm hadn’t stopped yet. He slept in such a way that, when He woke up, He was able to calm the storm for everyone else.
I believe that’s possible for all of us. I believe we can live a life inside the edges.
This podcast is designed to simply start a conversation about the ways in which the Holy Spirit can lead us in the way of Jesus—toward internal rest, internal healing, and internal margin—that we hope one day makes its way to external rest and margin, so that we can truly love our neighbor as ourselves.
Be blessed as you listen, and may the Holy Spirit lead you into all truth.
